Well it is less than 24 hours until our departure time from the Edmonton International Airport to Vancouver. I think I can speak for my whole team when I say that we are getting very excited and maybe even a little nervous, but probably more excited than nervous. I am doing some last minute packing currently and I'm sure everything will be ready to go by the time I leave tomorrow. It has been nice to be home for these last couple weeks over the christmas holidays relaxing and visiting with friends and family. It was good to see some of our supporters in person at church this past sunday and get some fairwells from them. I've been checking the weather reports for UB over the last couple days and looking at some forecasts and it seems that Mongolia's infamous temperatures are going to live up to the hype, and our seasonably warm weather is not going to make it any easier, but I'm sure we will be able to adjust, haha. According to some of the emails we've received from our contact, we will be working with youth most of the time, helping with teaching english and possibly doing some sports ministry, which I would be especially interested in. Well I should go finish packing my wool socks, thanks again for everyone's prayers and support.
Be Blessed.

Hello
Hello Friends and family.
This past weekend we hosted meatballs for missions here at our school. There was a good turn out and we raised over 4000 dollars to towards our impact pot. Thank you for being so supportive through this fundraiser. Just yesterday we met with a man named Sam B. Sam is part of the Mongolia JCS organization, in which we will be working with while there. He gave us a lot of information and facts about the country, which was very cool to hear, as we don't know a whole lot! He also told us that there will be a good chance we will get to ride Mongolian horses and even Camels! This really perked up our ears and made us all want to go there right away. The preparations are coming together and it is only 1 month away! Please keep praying for us.
God Bless
PEACE!

Welcome
Hello Welcome to our teams Mongolia Blog! Our team consists of four members Luke Hundeby as our team leader, Stephen Stoyko as our logistical person, Emily Jaglam as our medical and Melanie Webster as our treasurer. If you do not already know we are going to Mongolia for three weeks in January. We will be working with Joint Christian Services(JCS) in Bayank Honger. When we are there we will probably be teaching English to young adults, helping with youth events, worship, sport ministries like soccer and boxing but mostly building relationships and seeing a new culture! Throughout this experiance before we leave and while we are gone we will be using this blog to give updates and share what we need prayer for as a team.
We are very excited and it is coming up fast.We could use prayer for unity among team members, that our contact will get back to us in time, the people we will meet and the country of Mongolia.
Thank you for your support
